Old
Stables Cottage, once part of a traditional farm steading in
the hamlet of Whitton, lies at the foot of the Simonside Hills,
with interesting sights and sounds at
your very doorstep.
The nearby river Coquet winds its way through
the Cheviot valley, and is famous
for its autumn salmon and sea
trout run. There is also a healthy
stock of native brown trout to
test even the keenest of anglers,
and the upper reaches offer classic
fly-fishing within the splendour
of the Cheviot hills. Click
here for more information on
the area.
As well as its picturesque surroundings, the
cottage itself has much to offer
the discerning holiday maker,
and is designed to make your stay in Northumberland a comfortable
one.
Inside the cottage, you will find a very well
equipped kitchen diner, a spacious
living room, with bed settee,
and finely furnished bedrooms.
Outside, there is a private courtyard,
with a car parking space reserved
for the cottage.
